Media & TV Interview in 2007:

Wang-Ching Liu had been interviewed by Toronto-based Fairchild Chinese Television on 11 June at Book Expo Canada in Toronto. The interview was broadcasted in Toronto and in Montreal between 16 June - 24 June 2007.

Wang-Ching Liu is also invited by Canadian Authors’ Association to be the speaker of the CAA meeting on 6th August 2007 at Westmount Library in Montreal, with the topic of “Discussion on the writing and publishing of the book “CHINESE Easy To Learn” and “How Ms. Liu teaches westerners to learn to read/write/speak Mandarin Chinese in just 2 months.”

Words from the Publisher of the above book :

We often admire the pioneers who brought Western culture to China - one of the most famous countries in the East. In those days, missionaries, scholars, English language teachers, merchants and numerous tourists, all contributed in their efforts to make English a powerful communication engine on Chinese soil.

Today, in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China we can find all kinds of English books to help millions of Chinese people learn English, and understand Western culture, modernization and the life-style in the 21st century. However, we do not find many books to teach Mandarin to foreigners or to introduce Chinese culture to the westerners.

The author, Ms Wang-Ching LIU, is writing a series of books about teaching Chinese (both Mandarin and Cantonese) to westerners.

Since the author has lived in Hong Kong, was educated in Taiwan and worked for many years in China and Hong Kong, she has structured this book using both the simplified Chinese characters and the traditional characters, so that readers will be able to find the corresponding words when they travel to China, Taiwan or Hong Kong.

With her teaching methodology and the use of the above book and her new book “Travel to China with my pocket book,” she can train western students or businesspersons to read and write Chinese characters and to speak Mandarin in just one to two months. She is teaching Intensive Classes to college students to learn Chinese (Mandarin) in Montreal. Workshops for teachers to know how to use her books are available.
